About Us
BRITISH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IN GERMANY E. V.

The BCCG is a privately-funded, non-profit-making membership network organisation. It was founded 1919 in Cologne and 1921 in Hamburg, closed in the early 1930s, and re-established in 1961 in Bonn/Cologne. HM British Ambassador to Germany is our patron.

Members of the chamber comprise of nearly 600 professionals, private persons and companies, of which approximately 90 enjoy the special membership status "Sponsoring Membership". In addition to that, a number of members (up to the age of 40) have joined our Young BCCG programme. The network consists of about 4500 personal addressees and we also maintain contact with other European British Chambers. The chamber is the largest British Chamber in Europe. 12 honorary Regional Committees (9 in Germany, 3 in the UK) support the BCCG and Young BCCG members.

BCCG and its large British-German entrepreneural and institutional network are first port of call for companies and professionals seeking advice in British-German business and trade. The Chamber is a neutral platform for topics of interest to the BCCG members, co-operating partners and guests at events, in its publications and website.

For its services to members and other interested parties, the chamber actively uses this network. The chambers' extensive database of members as well as British firms and affiliates doing business in Germany are key for these services.

The BCCG co-operates closely with DIT, Department for International Trade, the British Government Organisation supporting both companies in the UK trading internationally and overseas enterprises seeking to locate in the UK. We are co-operating with the Association of British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).

"As a leading full service law firm Buse Heberer Fromm believe adapting and responding is imperative to being successful in this new disruptive era. The prerequisite for this is creating a positive culture of communication; the listening, meeting and the exchanging of ideas and experiences. What better place to do this than as a member of the British Chamber of Commerce and sharing the strategic partnerships it can offer."
